PITTSFIELD -- Several city residents woke up on Wednesday morning to find the tires on their vehicles slashed. An auto repair business was also hit by vandals.
According to the Pittsfield Police Department, a total of nine vehicles were damaged in the spree.
Police responded to RBS Automotive, 681 North St., near Kent Avenue, Wednesday at about 7 a.m. after the owner called to say the tires of five vehicles at the business had tires slashed. The police also found two cars near the business with slashed tires and two more further up Kent Avenue.
Police believe the vandalism occurred sometime overnight between Tuesday and Wednesday.
There are currently no suspects.

Vandalism of property is a felony that carries a maximum sentence of three years in prison and fines.
