Lauryn Huban, daughter of Martin and Robyn Huban of Dalton, has been named to the dean’s list at Monmouth University in West Long Branch, N.J., for the spring 2012 semester. Dean’s list requires a grade point average of 3.5 or higher. Huban is a freshman majoring in health and physical education. She is a 2011 graduate of Wahconah Regional High School in Dalton.
Jacob Verter of Williams town graduated on June 8 from the Loomis Chaffee School, a co-educational boarding and day school in Windsor, Conn.
Verter was an actor in the Spring One-Act Festival, a junior prefect, and a residential assistant. He was the opinion editor for the student newspaper, the Log; member of the Jewish Student Union, the LC Democrats club, and the Barbeque Club; and participated in the 2011 Flagg Film Festival. He was a member of the boys varsity cross country, boys varsity swimming/diving, and boys varsity track and field teams. He will matriculate at Williams College.
Hannah Kittler, daughter of Carleen and Brian Kittler of Adams, received academic honors at St. Michael’s College by making the dean’s list for the 2012 spring semester. She was also chosen to be a teaching assistant in the biology department, beginning in the fall semester. She will be a sophomore in the honors program, majoring in biology with minors in chemistry and Spanish. She is a graduate of St. Stanislaus Kostka School
Lauryn Garner, daughter of Fred P. Jr. and Heather A. Garner of Pittsfield, was named to the dean’s list for the 2012 spring semester at Brandeis University in Wal tham. Garner is a 2011 graduate of Pittsfield High School.

Nicholas W. Bourdon, son of Wilfred R. Bourdon III and Beth L. Bourdon, is a freshman majoring in business.
Katherine R. Ferris, daughter of Clem and Martha Ferris of Pittsfield, is a junior majoring in special education.
Dalton William Griffin, son of Michael and Kathleen Griffin of Lee, is a junior majoring in criminal justice and psychology.
Meaghan R. Pezze, daughter of Peter and Carol Colombari of Pittsfield, is a senior majoring in criminal justice.
To receive dean’s list status, a student must complete a 12-hour semester with a GPA of at least 3.3, have no grade below a 2.0 and have no incomplete grades.
Elyse Duma, daughter of Cheryl Davis-Duma of Pitts field, has been named to the dean’s list at Bryant University in Smithfield, R.I., for the 2012 spring semester. Dean’s list requires a GPA of at least 3.2 for the semester. At Bryant, Duma is a member of the Velocity dance team. She graduated with honors from Tac onic High School in 2011.
Daniel R. Goewey of Great Barrington was named to the 2012 spring semester dean’s list at Cazenovia (N.Y.) Coll ege. Goewey is a junior majoring in psychology. He is a graduate of Monument Mountain Regional High School in Great Barrington. Dean’s list requires a 3.5 or better GPA.
Megan Spaniol of Great Barrington and Zachary Ferris of Stephentown, N.Y., have been named to the 2012 spring semester dean’s list at the University of Hartford in West Hartford, Conn.
Klara Burger, a sophomore marketing management major at Grove City (Pa.) College, has been named to the dean’s list with distinction for the 2012 spring semester. Burger, who was homeschooled, is the daughter of Charles and Betty Burger of Housatonic. Stu dents eligible for the dean’s list with distinction earn a GPA of 3.60 to 3.84.
