GREAT BARRINGTON -- The John S. Watson Christmas Fund has received additional gifts totaling $290. To date, the fund has raised $28,605, surpassing this year’s goal of $25,000 by $3,605.
The fund is named for the late John Watson, a native of Great Barrington and a reporter for The Berkshire Eagle. Watson inaugurated the fund under the name Community Christmas Cheer Fund and ran it until 1963 when it was re-named in his honor.
Donations to the fund can be made through any Berkshire Bank office.
Checks should be made payable to the Watson Christmas Fund.
