Adrienne Baxter Bell will deliver a free talk titled "George Inness: Sacred and Profane Spaces" at 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 28, at the Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute.

The lecture is the second in a series that explores the relationship between artists and the locations they paint, inspired by the Clark’s current exhibitions, "Winslow Homer: Making Art, Making History" and "George Inness: Gifts from Frank and Katherine Martucci."

Bell is an associate professor of art history at Marymount Manhattan College and the author of several studies on late 19th-century American landscape painting.
