Ventfort Hall Mansion and Gilded Age Museum will present "Among the Missing: Mrs. Astor’s Fifth Avenue" as the first in its summer series of Tea & Talks to be offered every Tuesday until Aug. 26.
The talk will be given by architect/architectural historian Gary Lawrance at 4 p.m. Tuesday, June 17. A Victorian tea follows the lecture.
Lawrance will concentrate on vanished examples of residential architecture, along with the social life that presented itself within them, that once lined New York City’s most fashionable thoroughfare, Fifth Avenue.
Tickets are $20 for advance reservations and $25 day of the event. Reservations are recommended as seating is limited. For information or reservations, call (413) 637-3206 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. The mansion is located at 104 Walker St.
