The arts of music, sculpture and chocolate will entwine on the eve of the summer solstice from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, June 21, at Ventfort Hall Mansion and Museum of the Gilded Age.
A concert featuring music from the Gilded Age will be performed by violist Hillary Herndon and pianist Jennifer Muniz. Musical works include Le Beau, Brahms, Vasiulenko, ending with a rendition of Piazolla’s "Le Grand Tango."
After the concert, sculptor Andrew DeVries will unveil his most recent bronze sculpture "Tango" inspired by the music and dance form. A champagne and chocolate reception will conclude the evening, hosted by Berkshire chocolatier Joshua Needleman, owner of Chocolate Springs Café.
