Recent weather conditions have contributed to an abundance of mosquito habitats and the emergence of a large population in parts of the city.
To reduce the mosquito population and potential for mosquito borne virus infection, a ground based barrier spray application is scheduled for Wednesday, July 9, between the hours of 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. in the following areas: King Street dump; Wahconah Park behind outfield; Springside Park below Doyle Field.
Spraying may be rescheduled to Thursday evening due to rain. This application will not leave significant residue and is not persistent in the environment.
