Laurie Winfrey Shnayerson will present "Edward Steichen -- Master Photographer" during a Tea & Talk at Ventfort Hall Mansion and Gilded Age Museum, 104 Walker St., at 4 p.m. Tuesday, July 22. A Victorian tea will follow.

Shnayerson represented the renowned photographer’s estate for 24 years.

Artist, photographer, inventor, curator, museum director and mentor, Steichen pioneered world recognition of photography as art. One of his earliest pictures, "The Pond, Moonrise, 1904," became the world’s most expensive photograph when it sold for $2.9 million in 2006.
