The Department of Conservation & Recreation’s Visitors Museum at Western Gateway Heritage State Park will present an illustrated lecture, "The Great War -- A 100th Anniversary," at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 26.
This lecture on the 100th Anniversary of World War I attempts to understand how the world reflected on such an event and how small occurrences can domino into a massive conflict. The program will view the war through the literature, art and participants of the times and try to understand how it affected the future.
Western Gateway Heritage State Park is located south of the Hadley Overpass on Route 8. The Visitors Museum is in building #4.
