The Bidwell House will hold its summer fundraising party from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, at the hilltop site of the former Berkshire Summer School of Art.
The theme of this year’s party is the 1915 to 1936 Art School, which brought artists from all over the country to study "plein air" in the Berkshire hills. The property is now a private estate.
All proceeds from the event will benefit the Bidwell House Museum.
The Plein Air Trio will play 1920’s jazz as guests stroll the grounds of the former art school, watch artists at work, and sample hors d’oeuvres and refreshments. A live and silent auction will offer art, collectibles, and other treats. Guests are invited to don "artsy" attire.
The art school was part of the Bidwell House Museum property in the early 20th century.
Tickets are $60 at the door, and can be reserved by contacting the museum office at (413) 528-6888 or www.bidwellhousemuseum.org.
