Chowder fans swarmed downtown North Adams on Saturday, Feb. 20, to try samples of the 11 competitors at this year's chowder cook-off, an activity of the annual Winterfest event.

Over 3,000 samples were served from noon to 2 p.m. resulting in over 400 ballots cast for "People's Choice" favorites.

In the People's Choice category, Boston Sea Foods Restaurant earned first place with 76 votes, Grazie took second with 55 votes, and North Adams Commons earned third with 44 votes.

Judges' Choice winners were announced at the conclusion of the event with Bounti Fare winning first place. NoCo Pastaria took second with their tomato-based creamy chowder, and the 6' House Pub earned third.
