A public forum will be held from 4 to 5 p.m. Thursday, March 10, in the City Council Chamber at City Hall to discuss the need for a peer driven, non-clinical recovery support center.
Guest speaker will be Debbie Gonzalez, director of "Hope for Holyoke" Recovery Support Center. The event is open to the public and there will be opportunity for questions and answers.
The discussion will focus on relapse prevention, healthy alternatives to substance abuse and other addictions, and the need for more education in the immediate area.
The George Crane Memorial Center is sponsoring the event.
