Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts will welcome journalist Seth Rogovoy to campus on Tuesday and Wednesday, March 22 and 23, as this spring semester's Hardman journalist-in-residence.
He will present a talk, "Keeping the Beat: A Life in Journalism," at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 23, in Murdoch Hall's Sammer Dennis Room (218), on the MCLA campus. The talk is free and open to the public.
Rogovoy is a writer, editor, award-winning critic, book author, cultural journalist, lecturer, teacher, and radio commentator.
He will visit a number of journalism, media studies and arts writing classes during his two-day residency. He will meet with journalism students individually and over lunches, do interviews with MCLA media, and advise the staff of the Beacon, MCLA's student-run newspaper.
The Hardman Journalist-in-Residence series is made possible through the generosity of the Hardman Family Endowment.
David Zachary Finch, assistant professor of English/communications, and Joseph Ebiware, professor of English/communications, serve as Hardman scholars and are coordinating Rogovoy's residence.
