The Lenox Garden Club has awarded grants totaling $23,000 to five Berkshire County organizations.

The awards were $10,000 to the Stockbridge Library Association for restoration of the gardens and grounds after major building renovations; $8,000 to the Berkshire Botanical Garden, Stockbridge, for renovation of Center House; $3,452 to Mass. Audubon for the planting of a native plant entrance garden at Pleasant Valley Wildlife Sanctuary, Lenox; $1,050 to the Williamstown Rural Lands Foundation to underwrite interpretative information for their proposed wetland boardwalk at Sheep Hill; and $500 to Pittsfield Beautiful for the purchase of plant material for the downtown Pittsfield planters and gardens.

Grants are awarded to non-profit organizations in and around Berkshire County for projects related to gardens, civic beautification, environmental restoration, conservation or education.

The funds are raised from the Club's biennial garden and house tour, "Hidden Treasures of the Berkshires." The next tour will be in July 2017.
