The Berkshire Food Project, in cooperation with SJG Emergency Response Training & Consulting LLC, is offering a "ChokeSaver" course from 4 to 5 p.m. Monday, July 11, at First Congregational Church, 134 Main St.

The course is intended to teach the layperson how to recognize a choking victim and to respond using Abdominal Thrusts, also known as the Heimlich maneuver.

This program is recommended for restaurant employees, food service personnel, or anyone looking to learn this valuable skill.

Upon completion of a hands-on skills assessment, participants will receive a certificate of attendance.

The course is only $15 per person.
