Pythagoras Theatre Works, the professional theater company in West Stockbridge, returns to the historic West Stockbridge 1854 Town Hall with two plays adapted from Edith Wharton's short stories.

The summer season features adaptations of "The Promise" and "Roman Fever" with a short intermission in between.

New York City composer and cellist Paul Brantley wrote the score and will accompany the production.

Performances are at 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, July 28-30; 11 a.m. Sunday, July 31; and 7 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, Aug. 2-5.

Tickets cost $30 for adults, $25 for students with ID, and free for Active Service Military and children under 12.
