First Congregational Church and folk-duo band Long Journey will host a "Concert to End Gun Violence" from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 25, in the church's newly renovated Community Hall, 906 Main St.

The free concert is one of many such concerts to be held on this day across the country in support of an end to gun violence.

The concert will feature music from musicians Jeb Barry, Good Good, Northern Spy, Eliza Densmore, Norm Burdick, Alyssa Cooper, Long Journey, Sophie Lane, Rosin the Beaux, Thomas Marshall, and others.

A silent walk from the Spring Street parking lot to the church will take place at 3:30 p.m. to remember victims of gun violence.
