The annual Fall Festival at Hopkins Forest will celebrate the changing of the seasons from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1.
The event features music, apple butter and cider production, refreshments, a canopy walkway, an active honey bee hive, and children's activities including a crafts table.
There will also be hands-on activities including traditional shake-splitting and a cross-cut saw competition.
Local native tree seedlings, ready for fall planting, will be on sale.
The festival is free to the public and appropriate for all ages.
Hopkins Forest is located at the junction of Northwest Hill Road and Bulkley Street.
