Town Players: ‘Win/Lose/Draw'
PITTSFIELD -- Town Players of Pittsfield is casting for a staged reading of "Win/Lose/Draw" by Ara Watson and Mary Gallagher. The director will be Jamuna Yvette Sirker.
Auditions will be Wednesday with sign-up starting at 6 p.m. at the Lichtenstein Center for the Arts, 28 Renne Ave.
Needed are actresses in the range of 20s to 50s. This staged reading will be performed on April 28.
"Win/Lose/Draw" consists of three one-acts which range in mood from high comedy to near tragedy. Each play contrasts women from different social and intellectual levels in situations where they react with attitudes characteristic of their backgrounds. The plays are set, respectively, at a child beauty pageant in Fresno, a welfare office in Tulsa, and a seedy motel in an industrial Massachusetts town.
Ghent Playhouse: ‘Putnam County Spelling Bee'
GHENT, N.Y. -- Auditions for "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee," the final production of Ghent Playhouse's 2012-13 season, are set for March 19 and 21 at the playhouse, 6 Town Hall Place.
Sign-in is at 6:30 p.m. Auditions begin at 7 p.m. Rachael Sheffer is directing this musical by William Finn (music and lyrics) and Rachel Sheinkin (book), set at a cutthroat regional spelling bee.

BSC Youth Theatre: ‘The Little Mermaid Jr.'
PITTSFIELD -- Barrington Stage Company Youth Theatre is holding additional auditions for actors between the ages of 13-19 for roles in "Disney's The Little Mermaid Jr.," its summer 2013 production to be presented July 24 through Aug. 11 at Berkshire Museum.
Open call auditions will be held in two-hour slots by appointment only on March 15 (6 to 8 p.m. and 8 to 10 p.m.) and March 16 (10 a.m. to noon) at BSC's Boyd-Quinson Mainstage, 30 Union St.
Call backs will be March 16 , noon to 8 p.m., and March 17, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
All roles are available. All ethnicities are encouraged to audition.
All actors must act, sing, and move well.
Those auditioning should bring a headshot or labeled photo and prepare 16 bars of two contrasting songs: one from "The Little Mermaid" and one from a musical of your choice.
Songs must be from published musicals. Auditioners should bring sheet music in the appropriate key and be prepared to dance. An accompanist will be provided.
