PITTSFIELD -- Barrington Stage Company will present Bruce Norris' Tony Award- and Pulitzer Prize-winning play, "Clybourne Park," as its fall production, Sept. 26 through Oct. 13.

Press opening is 3 p.m. Sept. 29.

Directed by Giovanna Sardelli (BSC's "The North Pool" and "Lord of the Flies"), "Clybourne Park" is a co-production with Vermont's Dorset Theatre Festival, where it will play Aug. 15-31.

Winner of the 2011 Pulitzer Prize and 2012 Tony Award for Best Play, "Clybourne Park" begins where Lorraine Hansberry's 1959 play, "A Raisin in the Sun," leaves off -- with a white couple selling their Chicago home to a black family, causing an uproar in their white neighborhood in the process. Act Two takes place 50 years later with a black family selling the house to a white family who presumably believe in urban gentrification.

Performances through Oct. 13 will be Thursday evenings at 7, Friday and Saturday evenings at 8 and Sunday afternoons at 3 in the Boyd-Quinson Mainstage, 30 Union St.

Additional performances are scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 5 at 2 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 13 at 7 p.m.

There will be low-priced previews on Sept. 26-28.

Tickets are on sale now by telephone at (413) 236-8888 or online at www.barrington
