Beyonce is still telling the world she has a happy family situation, sharing late Monday a picture on Instagram of her husband Jay Z with their 2-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy.
Oh what a tangled web ... something ... I don't remember.
Anyway, the picture looks like another one of Beyonce's trademark attempts to deflect attention from her failing marriage, according to the New York Daily News. She and Jay Z are touring together this summer -- with shows scheduled for Aug. 5 and 6 at AT&T Park in San Francisco.
British publication The Mirror reports the pair are undergoing marriage counseling throughout their "On the Run" tour. Rumors of marital issues were fueled earlier on the tour, when Beyonce changed a lyric to her 2006 song, "Resentment," possibly redirecting the words toward Jay Z while performing it on stage.
While singing the song, which is about a woman dealing with an unfaithful man, the 32-year-old singer sang "been riding with you for 12 years" instead of the original words "been riding with you for six years."
She has been with Jay Z for 12 years and married for six.
Rumors of trouble began in May, when Beyonce's sister Solange Knowles attacked Jay Z in an elevator at a Met Gala after party. That prompted Beyonce to start posting pictures of her family looking way too happy on Instagram.
According to the New York Post, a source close to the couple said only "divine intervention" can save the troubled marriage.
"They are trying to figure out a way to split without divorcing," the source reportedly said. "This is a huge concert tour, and they've already gotten most of the money from the promoters up front."
The source said the end of the tour may also mark the end of the marriage.
"There are no rings, if you haven't noticed," this person told the Post. "For just a split moment, things got real for them and she was even talking about adding to the family. But, after a while, Jay was out doing Jay and Bey was out doing Bey. They made the classic mistake of thinking a child would change everything and help to rekindle the initial fire, and it didn't."
We'll stay on top of this and pass on whatever exciting details we hear as they develop.
