With a newly renovated kitchen, the Highwood Manor House will be open for the first time to the public for dinner Friday and Saturday, and Sunday brunch.
"We’ll be able to showcase why we bring in these amazing chefs," said Tanglewood Executive Chef Joshua Ingraham.
For its first year, the house will offer buffet dinner and brunch (at a fixed price of $65 and $45 per person, respectively), but they hope to offer plate entrees eventually, according to Ingraham.
"It’s not going to be just a buffet," he said. "We’ll be doing more composed salads. Sometimes when you’re tenth in line [at a buffet] you feel cheated, but we’re going to make sure you’re going to be completely full."
Cocktails, bottled wine and a la carte desserts will also be available. For reservations, call (413) 637-4486 at least 48 hours in advance.
"We’re going right back to basics," said Ingraham. "Well be doing ‘farm-to-table European.’ It’s always about technique."
