World-renowned winemaker and owner Olivier Humbrecht will personally guide his audience through three flights (nine wines) from his family's award-winning Domaine Zind-Humbrecht of Alsace, France. The Nejaime's Wine Cellars Seminar will take place at Ventfort Hall Mansion and Gilded Age Museum 6:30 p.m. today.
Humbrecht is the world's second winemaker to attain Master of Wine status. He is appearing at Ventfort Hall before he travels to the Nantucket Wine Festival as its 2016 Guest of Honor.
The Nejaime Wine Cellars Historic Wine Seminar series combines the tasting of top-level wines with the aura of historic Berkshire estates and museums. A portion of the ticket price is donated to the participating sites in recognition of their cultural importance.
Tickets are $40 per person and include the wines served with cheese and charcuterie. $15 tickets for optional guided tours of the mansion offered at 4:30 p.m. For reservations, call Nejaime's, 413-637-2221. The historic mansion is located at 104 Walker St., Lenox.
The West Stockbridge Farmers Market opens for the season on Thursday and promises fabulous food and fun. From 3 to 7 p.m. at Merritt Green (opposite of the Post Office) on Harris Street, the market will offer fresh, local foods and family fun.
