LEE — Principal Kerry A. Burke has announced the top students of the class of 2009 at Lee Middle and High School. Rebecca Webb, ranked first in the class, is valedictorian and Kaitlyn Dooley, ranked second in the class, is salutatorian. Graduation ceremonies will take place at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 13, at the Koussevitzky Music Shed at Tanglewood in Lenox.

Webb is the daughter of Preston and Carolyn Webb of Otis. She has been a member of the National Honor Society and Student Council, and was a student volunteer. She also participated in cooperation with the District Attorney's office to provide safe Internet and anti-bullying training for elementary school students.

She was captain of the volleyball team and a member of the basketball, softball and track teams. She will attend Merrimack College this fall and study education.

Dooley, daughter of Michael and JoAnne Dooley of Lee, has been a member of the National Honor Society, Peer Education, SADD and Student Council. She was also active on the volleyball, soccer, basketball and track teams. She will attend Northeastern University and study biology next fall.
