Spring auction: The Montessori School of the Berkshires will host its annual benefit spring auction, "Springtime in Paris," at Founders' Theatre at Shakespeare & Company in Lenox on Saturday, from 6 to 10 p.m. All are welcome to attend.
The event will feature hors d'oeuvres, dessert, cocktails, beer, silent and live auctions and raffle drawings, including one for an iPad mini.

Presentation on parenting: Berkshire Country Day School and the Berkshires Hills Regional School District will present an evening with Michael G. Thompson, Ph.D., on Wednesday, beginning at 7 p.m. The talk is free and open to the public and will be held at Berkshire Country Day School, 55 Interlaken Road (Route 183) in Stockbridge.
Thompson is an internationally known psychologist, New York Times best-selling author, consultant, and speaker on the issues of children, schools and parenting. He is the supervising psychologist for the Belmont Hill School and lives in Arlington.

Young artist talk and art show reception: The Drop-in Center at Railroad Street Youth Project will host a talk and opening reception for Great Barrington-based artist Hallie Evans, 20, and her new art show, "Multiples," on Friday.
"Multiples" is a collection of mixed-media art that explores female icons and identities.
From 4 to 6 p.m., there will be hors d' oeuvres. At 6:15 p.m., Evans will present a talk followed by an open discussion.

Spring concert: The Berkshire Concert Choir, directed by Carlton E. Maaia II, and the Taconic High School Chorus and Honors Chorus groups, directed by Jessica A. Passetto, will present a spring concert, "A Place for Us" on Sunday at 3 p.m., at the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 74 First St., Pittsfield.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students, free for children age 12 and younger. Tickets are available for purchase from any choir member and will be available at the door.

Little Red Schoolhouse open house: IS183 Art School and the South Williamstown Community Association invite the community to an open house program at Little Red Schoolhouse in Williamstown on Sunday, from 2 to 5 p.m.
This free event will showcase the different types of programming IS183 is offering at Little Red.
IS183 faculty will be on hand for meet and greet, and presenting artists' demos in the mediums they teach at Little Red. There will be food by Wild Oats and a free art-making project for kids and caregivers. The event will also feature a raffle for a number of prizes, including a $150 gift certificate for IS183, and a gift membership to the Francine and Sterling Clark Art Institute.
