New classes at Boys' & Girls' Club: The Boys' & Girls' Club of Pittsfield is offering a six-week session of Introductory Sewing and Arts and Crafts classes starting Jan. 30.
Sewing, offered on Thursdays from 4 to 5:30 p.m., will teach children simple patterns and stitches with a machine. Arts and Crafts, held on Fridays from 4 to 5:30 p.m., will include various projects for children to make and take home each week. The cost is $10 with a club membership. Space is limited. Montessori ' WinterFest': The Montessori School of the Berkshires will host a WinterFest open house event from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, at the school, 21 Patterson Road, Lenox Dale.

Career development facilitator training course: The Division of Graduate and Continuing Education at Westfield State University will offer a hybrid Career Development Facilitator (CDF) training course throughout the spring semester.
The course is open to anyone who advises individuals in career planning and development or (with permission of instructor) wishes to learn more about the field.
The course, led by Barbara Foster, M.Ed, will have in-person Saturday sessions on Feb. 1 and 8, March 1, 15, and 29, and April 12, each from 9 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. The cost for this course is $1,000, which includes the cost of the textbook and materials. Participants will also be eligible to receive 30 professional development points.
