If you are planning on seeking financial aid for upcoming college studies, whether part- or full-time, resident or online, you must fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, known universally as the FAFSA.
Filing deadlines vary from state to state, and also by college. They're important to pay attention to, as some states and institutions also have special instructions attached to the deadlines.
Some schools may also offer a priority filing deadline that qualifies students for additional state and school funds. Check directly with the financial aid department of the school to which you are applying to see if it offers priority filing.
