LEE — The Laliberte Toy Fund is almost halfway to its goal of $8,400 after receiving additional gifts totaling $1,235. To date, the fund has raised $3,825.

The fund is named for the late Ed Laliberte, a longtime Lee police officer. Laliberte began the fund in 1958; it was renamed in his honor following his death in the early 1980s.

Donations to the Laliberte Toy Fund can be mailed to P.O. Box 21, South Lee, MA 01260, or dropped off at the Lee Emergency Dispatch Center in the basement of town hall. Donations will be accepted through Jan. 1.
