Gays rights aren't an issue for states

Senator Scott Brown is wrong: gay rights are like women’s rights and African-American rights, not states’ rights. The right to equal under the law is guaranteed in the Fourteenth Amendment to the Constitution.

States should not decide whether a woman can vote or where a black man can sit in a coffee shop or a bus or whether a gay couple may marry.
