WBRK has done the residents of Pittsfield a great disservice in canceling the Bill Sturgeon radio show. The show gave to the people of all ages a voice in which to express their feelings.
Bill provided an opportunity to talk to the mayor and city councilors on a daily basis. The arts and Third Thursday were also highlighted. We all knew what events were being held and what they were about. He was a champion of local education and focused on all the good kids we have in the city. All this was done with a wonderful sense of humor and professionalism.
An important resource has been lost because of a poor business decision. There is such a void without him.
