I am in complete disagreement with Jeff Borak’s Eagle review of Barrington Stage’s "Fiddler on the Roof," as I was at the performance the same day he was and I was elated, as was the audience indicated by the standing ovation it received.

Oscar’s Tevye was brilliant and evidenced by his loud outrage by the change with tradition. I have seen "Fiddler on the Roof" three times on the Broadway stage and this one is as good as any of the others in the past.

Sheldon Harnick, the lyricist, was at this performance and when questioned, during intermission, he said it was a remarkably good performance and enjoyed it immensely. This from the man who gave birth to the lyrics.

I was extremely disappointed in the way in which Borak re viewed this performance.
