Your 16-page "Tanglewood at 75" insert of June 28 seemed to be about musical development except for the "Tangle wood trivia tidbits" on pages 12 and 13 compiled by Jenn Smith from "Eagle archives and research, Tanglewood staff, Berkshire Symphonic Festival meeting archives at the Lenox Public Library."

I found it quite remarkable that nowhere in the 75 tidbits was the name of Joseph Franz, the prominent Stockbridge engineer and Berkshire Sym phonic Board of Trustee member who designed and built the Shed in 1938 with a seating capacity of 6.025 for $77,768, which was less than the $80,000 that had been secured at the time.
