If anyone is skeptical about the existence of the American spirit need to look no farther than the Lanesborough Volun teer Fire Department. Its willingness to help our fellow citizens devastated by Hurricane Sandy is an outstanding example of what we are as Americans.

Well done Lanesborough firefighters!
