I admire Anne Horrigan Geary’s plan to do a lot of reading in the new year ("New Year’s wishes," December 29), but she describes the stacks of books she recently received as "real and virtual." Wouldn’t a "virtual book" be one that doesn’t actually exist in any form? Perhaps she meant "paper and digital," since both types of book are real.

Meanwhile, I wish her joy in her reading.
