It was with tears in my eyes that I read the "Outpouring of love" for the Reverend Willard Durant in the Dec. 30 Eagle. He truly deserved this occasion and I am glad so many spoke of his work over the years. I am sure not all of this man’s good deeds could possibly be mentioned.
As a school adjustment counselor at Taconic High School it was too often my task to organize a "memorial service" for a student who had died tragically in an auto accident at the end of the school year. Reverend Durant was the man I called upon to minister the small gatherings in the Taconic auditorium to allow parents and students to grieve.
Reverend Durant certainly deserves this "outpouring of love."
