Plan for peace a model for Kerry

This is a brief word of thanks to Don Lathrop for his moving editorial page piece (Eagle, Jan. 5) titled "A Marshall plan for peace."

Because of its thoughtfulness and profound importance, I clipped the copy and sent it to Senator Kerry with this message: "Congratulations on your nomination to become the next secretary of state. I pray this article by Don Lathrop might hopefully contribute to the direction of your work and legacy in behalf of the nation in the coming years."
