In Saturday’s Eagle, in an article on fingerprinting new teachers, the statement is made, "Barbalunga added that the school does background checks on all employees and volunteers when they are hired for possible criminal activity in Massachusetts."

My question -- how often is someone hired for possible criminal activity?
