Rick Santorum was recently quoted in the New York Times during the march on Washington to protest abortion as saying that he was glad he had his child, who suffers from a rare disorder, even though the decision could have been made to have an abortion.
What if this decision was taken away? What if giving birth to this child was determined to be illegal by congressmen who had to idea how their law would affect his family? What if his right to decide was taken from him by people who would never know him and never feel the consequences of their laws?
Mr. Santorum’s decision to have his child, or not to have his child, affects no one but himself. Don’t take that decision away.
