The main story on the Sunday night news was the large number of streets on Long Island and in Connecticut that had not been plowed 36 hours after the storm. My experience here in Otis was just the opposite.
I got up early on Saturday morning to shovel my cars out and was outside at 7:30. Even though it was still snowing lightly I found not only my driveway had been plowed by my plowman but my road was completely plowed also. I cannot speak for other towns in Berkshire County but I must give a big thanks to the road department in Otis. In the almost 20 years I have lived here I have never been able to get up before the plow and have never been stuck no matter how much snow has fallen.
