To the editor of THE EAGLE:
I can't help but wonder why there are so many drivers whose registration tags and inspection stickers have expired two and three years ago, and these vehicles are still on the road. The drivers of these vehicles are in front of you at a red light, parked on the streets next to the curb, parked in a lot -- everywhere in our communities of the Berkshires.
Having an expired registration tag makes it illegal to even be on the road. Your car can be towed at your expense and you can be fined. How can any driver/owner of these vehicles get away with these violations for so long? If these people have illegal registrations and inspection status, then who knows if their insurance has been revoked?
Come on, Registry of Motor Vehicles, get your records straight and get these drivers off the road!
