To the editor of THE EAGLE:

For the first time in 99 years I feel compelled to write a letter to the editor. My eyesight is failing, but I could not miss the full page gun shop ads. I understand the importance of advertising revenue for the newspaper; however, with all the violence reported internationally, nationally and locally I find it appalling that the Eagle accepts ads of this sort and so prominently placed.

Straddling the fence on violence and weapons may be politically correct, but is it really OK? I think not.
