To the Editor of THE EAGLE:
For reasons that have no rational explanations at this time, the U.S. and Europe have embarked on a concerted program to demonize Vladimir Putin, ostracize Russia and bring the world as close to a major conflict as it’s been since the Cold War. Within hours of the MH-17 plane crash, the United States pinned the blame on Russia generally and Putin specifically. The anti-Putin propaganda has been relentless and almost comically over-the-top.
Three hours after the MH-17 plane crash, the mainstream media in the U.S. and the U.K. stated that there was blood on Putin’s hands. That’s really an amazing piece of journalism to have managed to have figured out the who, the what and the why of a major catastrophe without the benefit of any evidence or investigation. Yet, the American people really don’t pay close attention to important world events. Due to their lack of engagement, even the most patently obvious lies can quickly become entrenched in the public mind as truth if touted by mainstream news outlets. We swallow the propaganda from our government just as we did with the lies Washington used against Saddam Hussein, Gaddafi, Assad, the Taliban, and Iran.
Here now in August, 2014 there is a rush towards war similar to those that proceeded Afghanistan in 2001 and Iraq in 2003. But this time the war fervor is being directed at a nuclear powerhouse, not some derelict Middle East country. And the stakes could hardly be higher.
Russia is very much aware that for 13 years Washington’s lies and demonizations of countries have been the preludes to launching military attacks on those countries. Why are these psychopaths in Washington and their lackeys in Europe upping the pressure on Russia through increased sanctions? Do they think there will be no consequences? Europe has a great deal to lose due to its dependency on Russia for its energy. And do the U.S. and Europe expect Putin to sit back and allow the meddling Americans to expand NATO right up to the Russian border?
I voted for Obama twice, but did not get what I expected. Obama has morphed seamlessly in foreign policy from his war criminal predecessor. I see no difference in their strategy. Ukraine presents no national security threat to the United States. Then why did we overthrow a democratically elected president and support a puppet neo-Nazi coup? What business was this of ours? Even with all of our markets manipulated in the way the government wants them to be, Washington seems increasingly desperate. And desperate governments do desperate things -- like look for wars.
Stop believing what the idiots inside the Beltway are telling you through their "presstitute" media. And by the way, Putin’s plane returning from China was minutes from MH-17. With no evidence to the contrary, the suspicion has to be that forces in Kiev shot down the wrong plane.
