Heartened by writer's solidarity with Muslims
To the editor:
I am so grateful that you published the very good letter of Hannah Link on Dec. 26. I fully concur with what she wrote about the Muslim community.
My husband and I are Christians who raised our two daughters partly in the Middle East, as we lived there for many years. I know that we were fortunate to have the chance to build friendships and understanding across faiths and nationalities. Still, at the age of 97, I continue to be astounded and dismayed by the ignorance and fear that we hear expressed these days, and I feel very sad at the way Muslims are being maligned in our country.
This letter comes with gratitude for Ms. Link's heartfelt expression of solidarity.
