Many contributed to BART fund-raiser
To the editor:
On Saturday, April 9, Berkshire Arts & Technology Charter Public School (BART) hosted our ninth annual "Get BART Smart" fundraiser, and raised $20,291 (net) for the school's college preparatory programs. Over 150 people attended and re-lived their high school years through our team trivia game. Thank you to all who played and made it a great evening.
The night couldn't have happened without the support of over a hundred local organizations and businesses. Our High Honor Roll sponsors, Adams Community Bank, Adams Plumbing & Heating, Berkshire Bank, Cord Master Engineering, Scarafoni Associates, Shine Wire Products Inc., Smith Watson & Company LLP, Solomon's Furniture, and VoIP Logic LLC all played an important part in the evening's success.
We also thank our Honor Roll sponsors: DuFour Inc., Greylock Federal Credit Union, Kate Drew Miller Photography, Mass MoCA, McTeigue & McClelland, Mezze Catering and Events, Primary Venture Partners, The Clark Art Institute, The Reading Institute, and Whitman's Crystal Clean.
The list above doesn't include 70-plus additional local businesses that donated goods and services to the fundraiser to be auctioned, items and prizes or supported us at the "sponsor" level.
BART has a geographically diverse student body, with more than 350 students in grades 6-12 from throughout the county. Businesses from all corners of Berkshire County helped support our students through their generous sponsorships and donations.
Finally, many thanks go to the trustees, faculty, staff, volunteers and others who contributed their time, money, and effort to make this fundraising event happen. Their dedication to the BART community, most importantly our students, is truly humbling.
