Naumkeag neighbors should enjoy music
To the editor:
Last night (July 14), I had the pleasure of spending time at Naumkeag where a keyboardist and violist played a variety of bluesy music that suited the gentle night. Amplification was not used and attendees had quiet conversations. Alcohol use was minimal. I know that every person there enjoyed the peaceful views and beautiful gardens. I cannot imagine any neighbor could be disturbed.
I applaud Naumkeag for being creative in establishing new ways to bring in more folks. After all, their survival depends on bringing new members and revenue to continue. I suggest neighbors open their windows and let the music in.
