To the editor:
Last Friday, I had the pleasure of attending a reading of "Distinguishing Marks" performed at the Fitzpatrick Main Stage in Stockbridge. The play, written by Carole Owens and directed by Dan Dwyer, could not have been a more delightful way to spend a Friday afternoon.
I always look forward to Carole Owens' columns in The Berkshire Eagle, and so was curious if her writing skills could carry over to writing plays. Well, those in attendance were not disappointed.
Distinguishing Marks tells the story of former college "flames" who begin communicating decades later through Facebook. With humor and understanding, we hear the hopes and fears of 1960's college age students as well as older 70's adults rekindling their relationship in the 21st Century.
Kudos to Carole!
