PITTSFIELD -- U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren is in Pittsfield this afternoon in her first official visit to the Berkshires since being sworn in last week.
Warren is expected to meet and discuss economic development with Mayor Daniel Bianchi and Berkshire County lawmakers at City Hall. Afterward, she's expected to visit several local businesses and finish at the Berkshire Museum at approximately 2:15 p.m. At the museum, she'll greet friends and community members in the Crane Room.
Before arriving in Pittsfield, Warren will be in Springfield to open her Western Massachusetts office.
Warren defeated Scott Brown in November to become the state's first female U.S. senator.
