NORTH ADAMS -- McCann Technical School has named Adam Christopher Lemoine as the valedictorian and Alex B. McKinney as the salutatorian for the graduating class of 2012.
Lemoine, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Lemoine of 461 West Road, Adams, is a senior in the machine technology program. He is a recipient of the John and Abigail Adams Scholarship, RPI medal award and Massachusetts Association of School Superintendent's Award for Academic Excellence.
He is an active member and chapter vice president of SkillsUSA and has been awarded the honor of being a national voting delegate in Kansas City, Mo., for the SkillsUSA National competition.
Lemoine is a member of the pre-engineering program, Proj ect Lead The Way; National Honor Society, and is captain of the varsity cross-country running team. In addition to his many school accomplishments, he is also a ROPES program mentor and an accomplished karate student.
He will attend WPI in the fall, majoring in mechanical engineering.
McKinney, son of Carl McKinney of Clarksburg and Margaret Hope of 90 Marietta St., is a senior in the machine technology program.
He is the recipient of the John and Abigail Adams Scholarship and an active member of SkillsUSA, National Honor Society, Peer Mediation Leader and is a member of the pre-engineering program, Project Lead The Way.
He will attend MCLA in the fall, majoring in engineering.
Both students will graduate from McCann Technical School with high honors on Wednesday.
