Mary Jo Maichack, professional singer and storyteller, will present an hour-long program of songs from the Great American Songbook for adults from 1 to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 12, at the Town Hall. Pianist Bob Shepherd, will accompany her on keyboard.
Maichack will sing standards of the ‘20s-’40s, including tunes loved by Sinatra, Garland, Ellington, and Fitzgerald.
Her show of cabaret songs offers a new program for adults, which includes anecdotes about the lives of some of the composers.
This program is supported in part by a grant from the Windsor Cultural Council, a local agency, supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
The program follows a potluck lunch at the Town Hall through the Council on Aging.
The concert is free and open to the public.
