Pittsfield: World War II survivor subject of program

The Jewish Federation of the Berkshires will sponsor the program, "Edith’s Story," at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 11, and Monday, Oct. 29, at Congregation Knesset Israel, 16 Colt Road

During the first session, "Edith’s Story: The True Story of a Young Girl’s Courage and Survival During World War II" by Edith Velmans, will be read aloud. The author will be present during the second session for a discussion of the book.

The program is open to the public at a cost of $3 for each session.
